Syriza insists on Pre-interrogation for Tempes – “Let Karamanlis motivate the NW to get rid of responsibilities”

He insists on the establishment of a pre-rogation for the , in order to activate Article 86 of the Constitution and to lead Costas Karamanlis to regular Justice. The proposal filed yesterday, Wednesday (28.03. 24) the parliamentary representative of SYRIZA Dionysis Kalamatian, who called on the ND to commit to accepting “two days” for Tembis, to activate Article 86 of the Constitution for the investigation by the regular Justice of the criminal responsibilities of persons involved in the national tragedy. For her part, SYRIZA Voula Kehaya’s spokesperson came back today, Thursday (28.03). 24) on the proposal tabled by Dionynis Kalamatian, stressing among other things in a new announcement that “if Mr Karamanlis wants to get rid of the responsibilities imposed on him by the main opposition, let his party also encourage the establishment of a pre-trial committee”. In fact, Syriza’s spokesman launches a new attack on Mr Karamanlis in the “shadow” of his yesterday’s position in the House, pointing out that “he did not say anything about the substance, he did not apologize, but once again provoked, saying “Why don’t you propose a preliminary examination?”. More specifically, Voula Kehaya’s new statement is as follows: “It is true that the intervention of Mr. Costas Karamanlis, who also bears criminal responsibilities for us in relation to the crime in Tembis, was the speech that described yesterday’s second debate on the motion of censure tabled against the government. Mr Karamanlis did not say anything about the substance, he did not apologize, he just said that he feels the pain and anger of the relatives of the victims, but did not put himself, let me say so, at the disposal of justice. Once again he challenged, saying “Why don’t you propose a preliminary examination?”, asking, -what else? – the amnesty. I am referring to the possibility of setting up a preliminary committee. The response from SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance, as expressed at the time by Mr. Dionysis Kalamatian, our parliamentary representative, was the proposal – an invitation to the ND: commits the ND to lead us to the establishment of a pre-trial committee, namely to vote on it, which has a very short life span of 1 – 2 meetings so that Article 86 and Mr. Karamanlis can be activated, and all political persons involved in this case will be taken to regular Justice and tried on the basis of lawsuits filed by the relatives of the victims? That is the question we are asking the Southwest. What good, more upright, more transparent, what more moral for a politician accused of taking 57 human lives in his throat. So if Mr Karamanlis wants to get rid of these responsibilities blamed on him by the main opposition and all opposition parties, who at least sign the proposal of disbelief, let him do so and encourage his party to set up a pre-trial committee for the reason I described to you.”
