Successful presence of the region of central Macedonia in the international exhibition SIAL in Paris

Extremely successful was the participation of the Region of Central Macedonia for the first time in the international exhibition SIAL 2016, one of the largest exhibitions in the field of… food and beverage in the world, which was held in Paris.
As pointed out by the Members of the Rural Economy Theofanis Papas, who was the head of the mission of the Region of Central Macedonia in the organization “impressive was the interest shown by the trade visitors who took part in the International Exhibition SIAL for the delicacies and products of the Macedonian land. In the Region of Central Macedonia, we follow a specific strategy and promotion of the extremely high quality of agricultural products, food and beverages on foreign markets in order to make widely known and to attract new buyers. It is particularly encouraging to see that the entrepreneurs who participated in the exhibition express the utmost satisfaction for the creation of new synergies, a result of the significant contacts were with other large Greek companies or food chains that participated in the SIAL and the respective companies in the industry of other countries. Our participation in the International Exhibition SIAL is part of a series of actions aimed at the promotion of one of the key pillars of development and openness of the Region of Central Macedonia, which is the sector of the Rural Economy and is a basic programming commitment. And we’re the target of this programming, opening horizons and giving a significant boost, mainly on small and medium-sized enterprises in the agri-food sector in the regions of Central Macedonia, which they are not given the opportunity to participate in such large sectoral international events”.
In the context of the parallel events of SIAL PARIS 2016, it was the “Macedonian Cuisine”, with recipes based on fine, traditional materials and products of the Macedonian land, some of which were presented and offered to the visitors of the exhibition.
In the International Food and Beverage Exhibition involving 17 standard small and medium-sized enterprises from the whole of Central Macedonia, while in terms of Region of Central Macedonia, the mission was attended by the regional consultants Athanasios Μασλαρινός (Serres, greece) and Dimitrios Τσιμήτρης (Pieria), as well as officials of the Directorate of Rural Economy.
