Star of Squid Game convicted of sexual harassment

The lead of the series, Yeong-Su, was found guilty of a woman. Yeong-su who played in the Korean production series, Squid Game, and was a huge success in 2021, was convicted of sexual harassment following the victim’s own complaint. The 80-year-old actor was charged in November 2022 with allegations of hugging a woman and kissing her on the cheek against her will during his two-month tour of a district area for a performance to 2017. “What is written in the victim’s diary and the victim’s advisory report after the incident largely match the details of this case,” said the court, adding that the victim’s testimony is consistent and “is not something that can be devised.” South Korean O Yeong-Su, was sentenced to eight months in prison on parole for two years and to mandatory follow-up for 40 hours of training to prevent sexual violence, according to Swan district prosecutor, in the southern suburbs of Seoul. The actor denied the charges and told reporters he plans to appeal against the court order. In 2022 the 80-year-old became the first South Korean to be awarded a Golden Globe, that of the Best Second Men’s Role in a drama series, for the embodiment of a vulnerable elderly in Netflix’s successful dystopian thriller. Over 100 million people have watched the “Squid Game” since 2021 that began to air, while it remains one of the most popular series on the platform.
