Skrekas for a Lent basket: Variations in prices in supermarkets from chain to chain – What is the price of hare

The Minister of Development spoke about price variations on the supermarket shelves, speaking to the SKAI about her basket. Costas Skrekas emphasized what the price of the hare is this year, so that consumers could identify when it becomes a dirty profit. “The deviations are either due to real data, such as the operating costs of supermarket chains, or due to different trade policy of each chain,” the Minister stressed but added that “in general this year the Lent basket is the cheapest as last year”. Furthermore, regarding the e-katanalotis platform, Mr. Skrekas explained that in its new version consumers can see and compare prices for the products they are interested in from the supermarkets in their neighborhood, so that they can make their own “Kalthi”. Costas Skrekas in relation to this year’s price of the hare explained that the large hare of 750 grams ranges from 2.80 to 3.50 euros and the small one from 1.80 to 2 euros.
