Skreka – Breton meeting in Brussels on the future of industry in Europe

The Minister of Development met on Wednesday (6.3.2024) in Brussels, within the framework of the Ministerial Council of the ‘Competitiveness’ Council with Commissioner of the Internal Market, Thierry Breton. At the heart of the debate were the challenges facing European industry and the next critical steps. Costas Skrekas presented to the Commissioner the priorities of Greece’s national strategy with the priority of re-industrialisation and the actions implemented by the Government to enhance competitiveness, extroversion and innovation. The Government with a structured design creates a multiplicative value for our economy and this translates into quality and well paid jobs for our young people and young people. Kostas Skrekas invited Thierry Breton to visit large industrial units in Greece that promote the green transition to our country and operate in critical areas. Among them, the defence industry involved in shielding not only Greece but also the entire European Union.
