A few days before the premiere, Netflix released the first trailer of the film Scoop for Prince Andrew and his notorious interview with the BBC. Queen Elizabeth’s son’s interview, who was involved in the Epstein scandal, was given in November 2019 to Emily Maitlis and the BBC Newsnight show. Prince Andrew had talked about his relationship with convicted sex crimes Jeffrey Epstein as well as Virginia Giuffre complaints towards his face. Middlelis is played by Gillian Anderson, while the Duke of York is embodied by Rufus Sewell. Directed by BAFTA award-winning Philip Martin, a screenplay by Peter Moffatt and Jeff Buchettill. Also Killey Hawes plays the prince’s former personal secretary, Amanda Thirsk and Billy Piper (Billie Piper) Sam McAllister, the producer of “Newsnight”, who secured the very strong interview and who wrote the self-titled book on which the film is based.
