San Francisco: Protesters Blocked Airport Calling for ceasefire in Gaza Strip · Global Voices

Hundreds of protesters calling for a cease-fire in blocking Plana’s international airport from the rally show protesters at San Francisco airport holding signs with slogans such as “Permanent cease-fire now”, “Stop the world for Gaza Strip” and “Stop arming Israel”. A television network working with ABC News spoke of more than 300 protesters. Protests in favour of the Gaza truce have been organised in many American cities in recent months, such as near airports and bridges in New York and Los Angeles. There was also a candlelight wake outside the White House as well as marches in Washington. This month protests were organized prior to President Joe Biden’s speech on the Union’s Status and before the Oscars were awarded. Protesters often interrupt Biden’s speeches at his election gatherings. The airport’s address said the international terminal remained open, but passengers were forced to take a different route to get there, after activists blocked the road outside, walked in circles and chanted slogans. No delays were reported in flights.
