he killed himself after a gunfight with police, at 11:30 in the morning, in the square Theatre.
As it became known from the police, the man was identified dactyloscopic, and it is the 38-year-old Theophilus Lazarakis from Crete, who is serving a life sentence for a homicide of a woman during a robbery in an oven, in 2004, in Agios Dimitrios, Attica.
The 38-year-old had gotten permission from the prison of Halkida, where he was serving his sentence and violated as I had to return on 6 December 2016, but has not returned. According to police, the 38-year-old shot three times against the police team DIAS who attempted to control him, resulting in to injure the right-hand one of the policemen, who retaliated and shot two times against him.
According to four testimonies of people who have already given oral statements to the Security, immediately after the shooting, hid behind a building, where he shot himself with a pistol in the head, ending his life. Initially the information was that it was alien.
