Rena Duru will not be tried second degree for the deadly flood in Mandra

She will not be tried to a second degree for the murderous flood case in Mandra with 25 victims, former district chief of Attica, Rena Duru and another five defendants who were first acquitted and appealed by the prosecutor. The Three-member Criminal Appeal Court rejected the appeal as late in accepting appeals filed by the defendants’ advocates. As the court president announced “the prosecutor’s appeal was out of date without any reason for force majeure. The appeal brought is therefore dismissed as inadmissible.’ In the case of the killing flood in Mandra, eight defendants will now be tried who had been convicted and first sentenced to prison sentences of six years, redeemable.
