Earlier, at a Press conference, given at the labour centre of Thessaloniki, in the presence of the president and of the administration of the EXHIBITIONS, the representatives of the workers of the OASTH asked the minister for Transport Ch. Σπίρτζη be sent to the deputy minister of Finance document in order to be liquidated, the compensatory payment to the OASTH the months of November and December to be paid at the same or the next day, their wages (July – August) and to stop “within five minutes of their demonstrations.

The president of the workers ‘ Dimitris Τσερμενίδης stressed that from 25 August, when in a meeting with the participation of the competent general secretaries, in the presence of mr Κατρούγκαλου, it was said that it came out “white smoke” in the subject of OASTH, not only did not follow the necessary agreed actions, but, instead, were made by the minister “unworkable” proposals. Complained expediency, and that there is agreement on the reduction of the cost of transport of the city at 50 ec. euro, with the application of the provisions of the law(article 7 of law.4354/15), which refers to the integration of utilities in a single payroll.
“So what you thinking mr. Spirtzis and nothing more, is to reduce and to flatten the payroll of the staff. The workers will not do the favor, will be on the road. If you don’t provide an immediate solution, the workers ‘ demonstrations are continuing,” said mr. Τσερμενίδης.
“I think there is a conscious course of vilification of everything,” he said, for his part, the president of THE Panagiotis Τσαραμπουλίδης, pointing out that the minister, despite the repeated checks has not identified anything wrong with OASTH. He added: “I Wish I could find something to go to the prosecutor and to be vindicated, to see if indeed he has good intentions and what’s the next step”. He claimed that the minister “has adhered to the logic of “don’t pay” and that “follows a delaying tactic”, because -as he said – he has a plan to lead the OASTH in bankruptcy and the result of all of these is the increase of the ticket for the passengers and the reduction of workers ‘ wages.
“The employees did not agree to take half wages. There is no way to accept μισάδια, and from there let everyone take responsibility,” said mr Τσαραμπουλίδης and concluded: “we cannot accept that workers are not paid”.
