On March 7, 2005 Albert’s father, Prince Renier III of Monaco entered a princely hospital, as he faced problems in respiratory, kidneys, and heart. On March 31, 2005 the Monaco Palace announced that the successor Albert would take over his father’s duties as regent, due to the weakness of the first. On April 6, 2005 Prince Rennier died and successor Albert became monarch of Monaco, as Prince Albert II. With a father who never showed him confidence in taking over the throne and with scandals chasing the Grimaldi house, Prince Albert constantly sought confirmation through his relations within the years, for which his name was often on the front page of the dashboards. Albert’s single life had received great publicity. Despite his relationships with models and actors, his unwillingness to marry gave rise to rumors of being gay. But he had denied the scripts. Specifically, in May 2005, African Nicole Cost, a former Air France flight attendant, claimed that her son Alexandre Cost is a child of Prince Albert, which according to Cost knew the Prince. On July 6, 2005, a few days before his enthronement on July 12, Prince Albert confirmed through his lawyer that Alexandre Cost was his biological child. She also has a daughter Jasmine, with American real estate agent Tamara Rotola. In 1992 a California woman, Tamara Rotolo, filed a lawsuit against Albert, claiming to be the father of her daughter, whom she had named Jasmine Grace Grimaldi. The case, which went to trial in 1993, was eventually dismissed by the California Supreme Court, as it ruled that there was no evidence of a Prince hearing in the trial. On May 31, 2006 following a DNA test it was confirmed that Albert was Jasmine’s father. Then the prince’s lawyer announced that Albert recognized his daughter and that she was given an invitation to study and stay in Monaco. In 2020 it was revealed to the international press that 35-year-old Braziliana sued Albert for fatherhood recognition of her 15-year-old daughter then. Prince’s lawyers claimed it was a fraud while a few days later Charlene appeared publicly distressed with punk haircuts. According to her, two days before Albert and Charlene’s marriage, she was informed that her beloved may be the father and third exodus. Officials rushed to bring her back offering her a deal: to have a child, heir to the princely throne and to leave if she really cannot stand it. On a television show, Charlene herself had hilariously described the reports that brought her unwilling to marry her prince. On their wedding day, they told Prince Albert that he should take a paternity test for a third child… And as if all of this were not enough, Albert’s “secret payments” came to his former mistresses and Charlene’s inconsiderable expenses. The claims that Prince Albert kept a separate bank account to pay his ex-lover and children he had out of marriage – and that his wife, Princess Charlene, made reckless expenses, with her family also on payroll – prove some of the most damaging revelations. One thing’s for sure. The Monegasques never strike with their royal family which feeds them with erotic intrigues, marriages, dramas and scandals. Source of RES-SE photos
