Piraeus: Trouble for drivers – Kolona got tilted after rolling and “threatening” cars

For more than seven hours a lighting on Avenue 88 in Muscat ” threatened” the passing vehicles, and incredible is the inconvenience the drivers experience as the vehicle traffic has been stopped at the point. It all started at about five today (22.03.2024) at dawn when a car escaped its course and fell on the lighting pillar in Piraeus, where it took a tilt and leaned towards one side of the road. Although the vehicle after the collision was removed from the site and the movement of the vehicles was normalized, the competent services were not immediately informed in order to remove as soon as possible the dangerous pillar from the road drain. This was done by passing drivers facing the collapsed pillar and alerted Direct Action around 12:00 noon. In turn EL.A informed the Region of Attica, which reached the point and after carrying out an autopsy, requested that the traffic of the vehicles be stopped in both currents. Just before two o’clock in the afternoon a crane vehicle of the Athens Region arrived, where they also started dismantling the pillar.
