Patras: black …midnight, with the city lighting districts,

Curated By: Yota Κοντογεωργοπούλου
These photos are not from a mountain village of the prefecture of Achaia month of December, but from the area of Αγυιάς in…
Patra in the year 2016. And no, it’s not taken after midnight, but at 9 in the evening, and month of May, i.e. conditions in which the roads should be fine god.

This is the situation that prevails in the region of Αγυιάς, (which is one of the most densely populated), and in pathways such as Kazantzakis, the Vitsentzos Kornaros, the Mantzarou, Miltiadou, the Fee Agra, the Λαυράγγα and on these routes.
The lights that you see in the absolute darkness, it is the public lighting, but the lights of the cars, buildings and shops.
The same situation prevails in most of the districts outside the centre, with the result that the Patra is where the light falls in a city – coal. Apparently the bulbs in the public lighting have been burned and is not engaged or ,worse still, have gone along with the metallic bases, stolen from them …collectors of copper and metal.

It would be good to deal directly the Municipality with the theme, before the darkness become even more deep and start to put a bigger safety issue. For the comments of the residents we are not talking. These easy guesses.
