In this respect, the competent vice governor of Crete on issues of Education, Lifelong Learning and Employment Panagiotis ΣημανδηÏάκης had contacts in Athens with the representative of the Greek Mathematical society Michalis Perakis, and the competent operators of the program “Russia-Greece to 2016” which tabled the proposal for the participation of the Region of Crete.
The vice governor of Crete Panagiotis ΣημανδηÏάκης and mr. Perakis initially met with the responsible managers and secretaries-general of the Ministry of Education, Research and church affairs, where they presented the proposal provides for extensive action for the exchange of students, professors, knowledge and experience with a main thematic section mathematics, astronomy and chess.
Also the main ΣημανδηÏάκης and Perakis had the opportunity to learn from the deputy Minister of Education Kostas Φωτάκη for the parallel activities in the research sector that will take place in Crete, as the individual actions of the same program.
The next meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign affairs, the Project Coordinator and Ambassador Elias Calls that strongly supported the participation of Crete in the program and, indeed, in a pioneering proposal that provides for reciprocal actions between the two countries.
