PAOK – Olympiacos for Super League playoffs to be postponed

New data in Super League playoffs after qualifying and Conference League quarterfinals. Olympiacos and PAOK “shocked” Europe with the qualification they received in the Conference League and are expected to bring changes to Super League playoff programming. The two Greek teams are in the eight best teams of this European event and are expected to take advantage of a favourable provision of the KAU. More specifically, each team in Greece has the right to submit a request for a postponement of a match in the league – and automatically accepted – from the moment it is found in the “8”, “4” and the final of a European event. This means that PAOK and Olympiacos now have every right to request a postponement of each match between their two European games. We recall that a few weeks ago and specifically before the Olympiacos – PAOK derby, a request was made for a postponement, but it was put to the vote by the Super League and did not pass. But now there does not even have to be a vote but a request to do so. The Conference League quarterfinals will be held on April 11 and 18, while the semifinals will be held on May 2 and 9. The final will take place on 29 May, with Opap Arena hosting this great showdown. Olympiacos or PAOK or both will ask that the derby be postponed for their 5th playoffs on 14 April. But at this moment it is not clear whether there will be a postponement of the entire race, which will cause even more trouble. In Super League playoffs there is expected to be – probably – a new inoculum, while in the event of a new Olympic or PAOK qualification – there will be a new postponement. All of these movements will “tighten” enough the racing calendari, in view of the final of the Greek Cup, which will take place on 18 May. At the same time, there is also a possibility of changing the seat of AEK, in the last race. The Union welcomes Lamia to the mini league finale, but must hand over OPAP Arena to UEFA, some days earlier than holding the Conference League final to make the necessary preparations. If the dates don’t come out, there’s no way AEK can play the last game on another field. Already, there are reports that refer to OAKA, since Olympic Installation seems to have taken the “green light” by then and will be able to accommodate people.
