PAOK – Lucescu: “Strong personality Koulierakis, football poet Constantine”

He spoke on an Italian podcast and praised his football players to Constantine Kulierakis, Giannis Constantelia and Dominique Kotarski. Koulierakis, Konstantelias and Kotarski are three young PAOK players who have won the interest of international teams and Lucescu spoke with the best of his players in Italy. Lucescu’s statements on the goalkeeper’s secret before the penalty: “I think the goalkeeper has a better chance of warding off a penalty if he has the patience to wait until the last second of the execution. It’s not easy, but that’s how you make it difficult for the man who runs the penalty. Because if the goalkeeper moves first, he gives the opponent the chance to have control to change his decision. Of course the spiritual part also has a great role.” For Kulierakis, Constantelia and Kotarski: “Kulierakis became a key last year at the age of 18. It was natural to make several mistakes but has the strong personality not to pay attention to them. So in the next minute he’s 100% strong again. He also likes to build the game from behind. Constantelias became a key at 19, he is an unrealistic talent that plays in “10” and extremes. He has the ability to change directions, to play face to face in the dorm, which is rarely seen in football. He still lacks spiritual strength to want to be decisive. He’s a little romantic, a little football poet because he says he wants to be happy when he plays. That’s true, but you have to win. As for Kotarsky, he is now 24 years old, he came to us 22 years old. He’s excellent with legs, strong personality. There are other young football players in the roster with natural talent.” For the gaps or disadvantages that PAOK must face: “We can improve a lot in every area of the game. I believe we are lagging behind in education and culture of detail. In general we are a group organized but in the end the difference is judged in the details. How he translates them, how you read them and how you behave in relation to them.” PAOK and Lucescu are now preparing for the game against Panathinaikos in Super League 1.
