2nd Regular Session of the 4th season of the Pan-african Parliament, in Midrand, South Africa, as a Link of the Interparliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy (i..P.The) with the Pan-african Parliament. In this capacity, carried from the pitch before the Parliamentary Body of the congratulatory messages of the leadership of D.P.The., the President of the General Assembly mr. Sergey Popov, the General Secretary and Deputy Foreign minister of Greece mr. Yiannis Amanatidis and the Head of the Coordinating Cooperation Committee with the Pan-african Parliament mr Andreas Michaelides.
His Eminence mr. John, among other things, he referred to the great satisfaction of D.P.The. to observe and record every positive development that ουσιαστικοποιεί the political role of the Pan-african Parliament for the benefit of the Peoples of Africa. Referred to the common observation of the political and ecclesiastical leaders, that the world is going through times of crisis and intense difficulties, which push the citizens of the weakest and infirm of finance classes at the margins of life in exile, with a characteristic example of the Greek island of Lesvos, carried not a message of solidarity to the D.P.The. to all the suffering people of the earth.
Mr. John, then, had a private meeting with the Εξοχ. President of the Pan-african Parliament mr Roger Nkodo Dang, where in this is carrying the Vesper wishes of the Alexandrian Primate Beatitude Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa mr. Theodoros B. In this meeting they discussed on the initiative of the Εξοχ. President, which has been taken during the visit of his Beatitude Patriarch mr. Theodore last October at the headquarters of the Pan-african Parliament, about the beginning of the dialogue between the monotheistic religions, which will contribute to the creation of a climate of religious tolerance on the African continent. The President made particular reference to the leading role of the Patriarchate of Alexandria as the oldest christian church in Africa, which is a very strong christian heritage over twenty centuries. He added, that the Primate of the Patriarch, mr Theodore, can become take the lead in this initiative and to lead worthily and effectively to achieve this purpose. He pointed out, finally, that the conditions for the speeding up of this initiative has now matured and it is evident in the rapid πολιτικοκοινωνικÎÏ‚ developments in Africa and the world in general.
By the side of mr. John warmly thanked the Εξοχ. President to respect the Institution of the Patriarchate of Alexandria and in the Î Ïοκαθήμενό mr Theodoros, while he handed the invitation of the leadership of the D.P.The. for the coming in Greece and the official participation in the General Meeting, which will take place next June in Thessaloniki. There, it was agreed to take the necessary decisions that will highlight in a positive manner, issues of cooperation and mutual understanding between the political and religious space of Africa.
