OPAP: Revenue at 2,087 billion euros in 2023 – At 1,85 euros the dividend

Record recorded in 2023, reaching 2,087 billion euros, while at 1.85 euros reached his dividend, according to the financial results he published today (13.03.24). The net income before contributions (GGR) of use of the OPAP in 2023 was set at record levels at 2,087,7cm. EUR 1,939,0 million in 2022, increased by 7.7% annually, as a result of strong online performance and growth in Ground Activity (Retail). In the fourth quarter of 2023 net revenue amounted to EUR 581.2 million, increased by 7.5% on an annual basis, reflecting the normalisation of the amounts attributed to the players of the sports betting after 3rd quarter 2023 and the early positive signs from the renewal of its numbers. Gross profit (of games) in 2023 increased by 6.7% on an annual basis and was set at 852.3 million euros (use 2022: €798.8 million) as a result of increased revenue combined with the high profit margins of 41%. In the fourth quarter 2023 the gross profit (of games) amounted to EUR 236.2 million increased by 5.5% on an annual basis (d quarter 2022: EUR 223.9 million). The operating costs of 2023 were €413.6m. versus €365.1cm. In 2022, increased by 13.3% compared to the respective last year, supporting increased revenue. Operating costs in the fourth quarter of 2023 amounted to €114.6 million, higher by 0.6% on an annual basis, mainly due to higher payroll costs. On a comparable basis, not including exceptional funds, the operating costs of the 2023 and the fourth quarter 2023 were increased by 8.0% and 1.1% respectively on an annual basis. Earnings before interest, taxes and depreciation (EBITDA) in 2023 decreased by 0.8% on an annual basis to 730.0cm. EUR (use 2022: EUR 736.0 million) or EUR 745.9 million on a recurring basis, reduced by 0.2% on an annual basis, exceeding our recent forecast. EBITDA in the fourth quarter of 2023 amounted to 210.2 million euros (fourth quarter 2022: €202.7 million), increased by 3.7% on an annual basis or reduced by 3.1% on a recurring annual basis to €197,6cm. The net profit of 2023 was €408,3cm (use 2022: €592,3cm), reduced by 31.1% on an annual basis. In the fourth quarter 2023 net profits amounted to €100,6cm (d’ quarter 2022: €306,5cm), reduced by 67,2% on an annual basis, mainly due to exceptional profits in 2022. On a recurring basis and not including exceptional funds in both years, net profits of 2023 amounted to 439.3m. Euros increased by 0.7% on an annual basis, while in the fourth quarter of 2023 they were set at EUR 109.7 million.
