and the desert. And not just any desert, but the Valley of Death.
As the name suggests, the barren valley of California is one of the most inhospitable places on the planet.
But, this year, thrived even. According to scientists, the strong effect of the (catastrophic) phenomenon El Niño, he made the flowers out in the barren land. And not to just go, but to the flood.
This is the first time since 2005 that the Valley of Death come out of flowers.
The Death Valley is the largest National Park in the USA.Stretching from California to Nevada.
Every year, approximately 1 million tourists visiting the valley. But just once every decade, some lucky ones will see the so-called “super bloom”, the “explosion” that is flowering.
The Valley of Death is the most dry place in America and the hottest place on the planet. But this year, El Niño caused heavy rainfall in the area. And in combination with the heat, gave it the breath of life to the flowers. The seeds that I grew this year (and also the ones that sprouted in the older super blooms, the 2005 and 1998), the “sleeping” for years deep in the ground. And the water that brought the El Niño, the… woke up.
Of course, the flowering, in the dead of this earth, it doesn’t last. And the next may be very late, but very much to come….
