Olympiacos – Christian Karebbe: I hope in a Greek final with PAOK in the Conference League

A short time after the Olympic draw with Fenerbachse in the quarterfinals of the Conference League, he expressed his optimism about Piraeus and even wished for a… civil war with him, in the final of the event to take place at the OPAP Arena of AEK. Olympiacos FC strategy advisor and ambassador Christian Karebé spoke about the draw of the Piraeus team with Fenerbahce, about Vangelis Marinakis’ European goal, but also about the final with PAOK, which would like to happen. Cristian Karebé’s statements to COSMOTE TV camera: On whether he thinks Olympiacos can rule out Fenerbahce again: “It is inevitable to remember the last time we played against them but now it is another draw. We’ll have to wait. We’ve played with Plzen. They have changed their roster and coach, they are a new team for us.” On whether he has surpassed what happened yesterday in Serbia: “Yes, emotions were intense. We have our confidence again from the qualification and we are more experienced after the defeat we met in Karaiskakis. We want to set new goals and achieve them.” As to whether he considers that the group can go further in Europe: “It was one of the great goals of Mr. Marinakis and tried to invest in it. Olympiacos is an experienced team in Europe now, and it is one of our goals to move as far as possible.” The fact that there are two Greek teams in the event: “First of all, we should watch games one by one. I hope we reach a purely Greek final. It will be best for the Greek League and football. It is something we all dream of and it is a huge opportunity for the country’s football.” About what Olympiacos has to do to keep a steady performance: “Every match is different, every opponent is different. We have a new coach who likes offensive football. Olympiacos is playing openly and this has cost us so far. All players must be focused and we are working on it.” On whether he considers it a good luck that Olympiacos will give the rematch away, as with Fernzvaros and Maccabi: “We must be in very good condition. We’ve seen it all depends on the moment the team is located. We’re in a good momentum. We expect more from our team, to have better appearances, but it sure is hard when you have to play game every three days.”
