OAKA: Work on Kalatrava roof and the TAIPED and TEE cooperation memorandum on the safe reopening of the stadium

The work in Kalatrava progresses, with the aim – in mid-April – that the stage be ready to host sporting and cultural events. At the same time, TAPED and TEU join forces for its secure reopening. A Memorandum of Cooperation (MoU) was signed by the appointed consultant and head of the Strategic Meaning of TAIPEDE, Panayiotis Stambulidis and the president of the TTE, George Stasinos, thus sealing their close cooperation for the faster and safer reopening of the Olympic Sports Center (OAKA). Within the framework of the Memorandum, TAIPED and TEE agreed to work together with a view to the functional and static restoration of the “Kalatrava” roofs of the Central Stadium and the OAKA Bicycle Road, projects funded by the Recovery and Resistant Fund. RESTRUCTURING IN THE OAKA-EURKINISSI The TAIPED, as the Acting Authority, has undertaken the responsibilities of maturing, conducting competition procedures and monitoring the implementation of contracts for the implementation of the project while the TTE acts as Technical Adviser and performs any relevant activity for the rapid and safe restoration of the structures. Mr. Stambulidis said: “With the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation, we join forces with the TTE to deliver the OAKA safe and functional to all citizens and to become again a sports and cultural attraction. With transparency, efficiency and consistency, TAIPED and TEI will complete all the necessary procedures to modernise and upgrade the most important Olympic sports infrastructure in our country, with multiple national and economic benefits.” Stasinos said: “TEE, serving its institutional role as a Technical Advisor of the State, is working with TAIPED for the rapid completion of the necessary actions to reopen the OAKA facility. With the expertise of his members, he supports the State scientifically and technically. And on the issue of OAKA facilities, we stand aides, with scientific integrity and modern technical and technological proposals.” LIGHT EUROKINISSI LIGHT EUROKINISSI The relevant work on restoring the shelters has been running for a long time. We recall that – as the Prime Minister mentioned in his Facebook post – the goal is to reopen the Stadium by mid-April, which he has put in “scenarios” for the seat of the Greek Cup final. It is noted that on 8 and 9 June the famous Coldplay band will hold two concerts at the facility.
