Two new programs that will offer the ability to over 13,000 unemployed young people to gain…
work experience 4 months , will be implemented in the upcoming period the employment agency, according to an announcement.
“In view of the notice of the relevant Public Call for the two new Programmes, Acquisition of Work Experience for 10.000 young unemployed aged 18-24 years and for 3,000 unemployed young people aged 25-29 years in the private sector and social enterprise, the employment agency shall inform the business interested in participating that they will be able to submit their applications electronically from the 22/8/2016.
The two programs are part of the Priority Axis “Facilitation of the access to employment of young people up to 29 years” of the Operational Programme “Human Resources Development, Education and Lifelong Learning 2014-2020, co-financed by the Initiative for Youth Employment (YEI/ΥΕΙ).
The aim of the programmes is unemployed young people aged up to 29 years of age, who are graduates of secondary (General Lyceum, Vocational Lyceum, EPAS) and higher education (University and Technological sector) and remain outside the labour market, education or training, to gain work experience to facilitate their entry into the labour market.
The programs have a duration of four months and include the acquisition of work experience in operations, with supervision, in the workplace.
The OAED will pay trainees aged 18-24 years old daily allowance of 18 euros and trainees aged 25-29 years old daily allowance of 21 euro, while it will provide, and insurance coverage.
The work experience is defined at six hours a day for five days a week (Monday to Friday).
With the completion of the four-month Work Experience, the practical interns will have the opportunity to participate in a subsidy program of jobs for a duration of eight months (to be issued corresponding Public Call for expressions of interest to businesses before the end of the practical exercise).
Every business can join the program for a up to ten trainees depending on the personnel it employs (for a beneficiary can join companies with a staff of 0-3 people, for two beneficiaries-enterprises with a staff of 4-9, for three beneficiaries enterprises with 10-19, for five beneficiaries companies with a staff of 20-30, for eight beneficiaries firms with 31-50 and for ten benefiting companies with a staff of over 50 people).
A precondition for integration of the enterprise in the program is not made a reduction in staff due to termination of contract of the staff of the (dismissal without replacement) in the period of 30 calendar days preceding the date of submission of the request for expressions of interest.
Companies wishing to join the programme you will be invited to submit electronically the applications for expressions of interest on the website of the employment agency, stated in the notice.
Businesses that do not have a license key, i.e. they are not registered users of the information system (portal) of the employment agency and do not have passwords in it (Name, User, and Password), are required to visit the Service KPA2 of the employment agency where they belong, and provide the necessary documents (recent articles of association or certificate of commencement of business, VAT registration number) and obtain in order to submit requests for expressions of interest”
