New φοροκαταιγίδα for 2017: going up on fuel, cigarettes, coffee, phones

Storm collection of measures is expected to break out with the entry of the new year…
1-1-2017 significantly increase the rates of income tax in real estate, business and rural activities, the taxes on fuel and cigarettes, while it imposed new taxes on the consumption of coffee, in fixed telephony and in the electronic cigarettes.
Also, with the entry of the new year will be reduced by 30% rates of VAT for all the islands of the Aegean sea and will significantly increase for thousands of businesses and freelancers insurance contributions.
These measures will be combined with other, already applied since last June and October, which provide for the reduction of the tax-free threshold and increasing rates of taxation for employed persons and pensioners, the increase of the standard VAT rate from 23% to 24%, the imposition of a fee of 10% of the accounts pay-tv and increase the Excise Tax on beer.
Who will pay
The result of the application of all these measures will be millions of taxpayers to pay even more taxes which will no longer be able to pay.
According to the draft of the new State Budget, in 2017 the ministry of Finance will seek to collect additional tax revenue of eur 2.5 billion. euro.

In detail the new wave of taxes

The excise tax on lpg fuel will increase by 10 cents per litre, from 0,33 to € 0.43 per litre.

Increases in coffee: Required excise tax on imported and domestically produced coffee.
