Municipality of Drama: Myths & Truths about Antibiotics and Vaccines

Informative Event for the Residents with the theme…
“Myths and Truths about Antibiotics and Vaccines”
is carried out in the Municipality of Drama, Monday, 3 October 2016, 6: 00 pm.m. in the Multipurpose Room of the town Hall (Mt 2 and the 1st of July, ground floor).
The event is being implemented with the collaboration of the Municipality of Drama, in the context of the Information Campaign for the Proper Use of Antibiotics & Vaccines organised jointly by the Hellenic Intermunicipal Network of Healthy Cities, the Hellenic society for infectious diseases, the Hellenic society for Chemotherapy and the Medical Association of Athens, under the Auspices of the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece (KEDE).
The aim of the Campaign is to be understood by all the Citizens:
• How they personally can contribute to the reduction of unnecessary use of antibiotics, learning when you really need to take an antibiotic and when it is not
• What are the consequences of the unnecessary use of antibiotics,
• How to prevent the infections through vaccination in adults so as not to get sick and to not eventually need to take antibiotic.
The subject will develop the mr Xenophon Κροκίδης, Physician, Phd, University of Mainz, Germany, President of the Medical Association of Kavala.
