Mine from Ukraine washed up in Rhodes – found her swimmer

An incredible incident lived a swimmer in when faced with one. The winter swimmer saw in the Soronis area of Rhodes, “something shining in the water”, as he said in Mega, without suspecting it was a mine! “When I saw it, it polished too far, it looked like something valuable. It was on the ground, passing over the wave. I caught it in my hands out of curiosity alone,” he said. As he describes, “I didn’t understand what it was, it polished a lot. I’ve never seen anything like it. I imagine what could happen to me.” After taking it ashore, he then called the Port Authority. “The Port told me to be at a distance, to go away. And the Port itself did not know what it was.” According to information, this is a mine that arrived in the Mediterranean from Ukraine, after an explosion in a dam in the country. Experts note that it is possible that other mines have traveled to the Mediterranean, knocking on the alarm bells.
