Military parade March 25: Impressive images with tanks, fighters and pedestrian sections

With great splendor the great of the Armed Forces and Security Corps took place before the President of the Republic of Katerina Sakellaropoulou, in the center of Athens, on the occasion of the celebration of the national revolt of 1821. This year’s parade of March 25 participated for the first time, training aircraft of the Air Force M-346 Block 5+, the body of forestcomandos and the Philharmonic Society “Manjaros” of Corfu. For another year, the coordination of the military band of ASDYS stole the impressions in the exact pace of the parallel Evzones. But also the dynamic passage of the special forces – paratroopers Marines, cruisers, frogs, submarines destroyers of the Port and the special disaster response unit, the Fire Corps, who gained the warm applause of state policy and military leadership and the concentrated world. The parade of the motorized and hiked sections of the Armed Forces and Security Corps was opened by the disabled of war and followed the voluntary bodies of the Greek Red Cross at the same time that in the Attic sky the legendary Supermarine SPITFIRE MJ755 aircraft, accompanied by an F-16 aircraft, appeared. They followed the means of the motorized infantry, where among other things they marched the armored vehicles M1117 Guardian, the imposing tanks Leopard, the motor artillery, the anti-aircraft artillery, the Engineer, the Transmissions, a Nuclear- Biological-Chemical (PBX) Defense, Health, Air Force anti-aircraft systems “PATRIOT” and “BELOS”. The phalanx of the hiking sections was opened the impressive passage of the company Euzon and the parade of war flags followed. They also marched in complete formations of pedestrian parts of the Three Arms and productive schools of the Armed Forces and Security Corps. Over the Attic sky all types of aircraft and helicopters of the Armed Forces (F-16 Viper, Rafale, F-16, Mirage2000-5 and F-4,CL-215,C-130 C-130), the flying radar, Army Air Force helicopters (Apache, chinook, NH-90, kiowa warrior), the War Navy SH-70 as well as the Security Corps flew into flawless formations. The President of the Republic Katerina Sakelaropoulou congratulated the General Commandant of the Military School of Elepides Major General Anastasios Polychron for the whole parade. The military parade was preceded by the official demonstration of the National Flag, at the Holy Rock of the Acropolis, while at 10:00 the official doxology began at the Cathedral of the Holy Church of Athens, prefect of the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece Jerome II, in the presence of the President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou, political and military leadership.
