Microsoft: to recall wire feed Surface Pro

Microsoft will revoke a power cables from the Surface Pro, Pro 2 and Pro 3 for reasons of overheating… The company says that “as a result of the damage caused when the power cables are wrapped too tight, twisted, or fall for a prolonged period of time, a small percentage of users of the Surface Pro have reported issues with the AC cables of their devices. We will soon publish information about how the users will receive a free cable to replace it soon.”
The recall is voluntary and will relate to all of the devices that were sold before July 2015. Also, the company will launch soon website with instructions to users, who will replace the cables.
The official announcement of Microsoft, is expected Friday.
The withdrawal would not affect the cables of the latest Surface Pro 4.
