Marina Satti: “You also had in your village regeton” was a joke.

After the sharp comments she received about the phrase “you had me in the village of reggaeton”, or she wanted to explain, saying it was fun with her associates. It all happened on a live Instagram, when Marina Satti explained that “regeton” is what we call a tight in Greece. Following the reactions, from shows and social media, the singer who will represent Greece in Eurovision wanted to respond. She uploaded to her stories a video in which she said: “What happened is that we’re in the studio doing analysis of the track on Instagram Live. We analyzed the melodies, harmonies, vocals and rhythm. At one point I said for fun that in our village in Greece, we did not dance reggaton but danced tight, rumba, ball. As you call it, this rhythm, which means Latin America is a reggaeton, but that rhythm exists in both Brazil and Africa and around the world. It’s a human rhythm and I said that in your village, in our village, we didn’t dance reggaton but we danced tight. Good? That’s it, it was nothing else! No offense, don’t misunderstand yourself. Thank you very much and you on TV, I didn’t tell you. Thank you very much for projecting our work,” concluded Marina Satti. Her television report is estimated to concern Kostas Tsouros, who broke out on Saturday’s show (16.03.2024). “I don’t know, guys. And only this expression, “you also had in your village reggaton” is somewhat offensive. It could be humor. But when you represent Greece in a competition and you curse those you’re trying to represent… Marina Satty will tear us apart, that’s what she said in essence. I think it is at least embarrassing,” said Kostas Tsouros.
