March 25 – Piraeus: National pride in celebrating the national anniversary

Crowds participated in its celebration in . The events were completed with the established parade in the city center. The Mayor of Piraeus, Giannis Moralis, attended Doxology for the 25th of March at the Metropolitan Church of Agia Triadas, a chorestatountos of the His Eminence Metropolitan of Piraeus and Faliros, Mr Seraphim, and then lodged a wreath at the statue of George Karaiskakis on the coast of Jelepi. He then attended the parade in which schools, local clubs, as well as acts of the Armed Forces and the Port Corps participated. The Mayor of Piraeus Giannis Moralis, on the anniversary of our National Anniversary, stressed: “The celebration of March 25 in the city of Piraeus, with Doxology, the deposit of wreaths in Karaiskaki Square and the parade in the city centre, was completed. Moreover yesterday we honored the heroic struggles of the Greeks at sea by placing a large Greek flag on Venus Bay, while the iconic Tower of Piraeus was “dressed” in the colours of Galanoleki for our National Anniversary. We honor in Piraeus the heroes who fought for the ultimate value that is freedom and I am particularly pleased that the parade had a record of participations and turnout on a sunny day. The message of our National Anniversary is that Greeks always manage with unity and unity, as long as we do not remember and invoke these concepts only on 25 March or 28 October, but believe them and be our guide 365 days a year. Happy birthday to all Greeks and all Piraeus”. The Tower of Piraeus in Galanolykia The Pyrgos of Piraeus on Sunday 24 March was “dressed” in the colours of Galanoleki, in collaboration with Piraeus Tower S.A. , (DIMAND, EBRD, PRODEA INVESTMENTS), thus participating in the National Anniversary events in the city. The Tower remained illuminated and on Monday, March 25.
