The 18-year-old Stefan Petrovski and his team-mate Μουχντ Αφικ Αζουάν participated in the training of Μαλάτσα United, when they were struck by lightning.
The Petrovski was transferred unconscious to the hospital, having temporarily lost his breath and remains in intensive care with doctors saying they are optimistic.
“He took every possible care in the emergency room and is now in the intensive care unit. The situation is currently stable, however, the breath is supported mechanically at the moment”, said the director of the hospital, while the people in the group couldn’t believe what happened: “this Is a totally unexpected incident, as there was even strong rain at the time”.
