Makeleio in Moscow: Putin will not meet with families of victims of the terrorist attack

The President of Russia is not currently scheduled to meet with the families of its victims at Crocus City Hall on the outskirts of Moscow, according to the Kremlin. “If contacts are needed, we will inform you,” said Kremlin representative Dmitry Peskov, in a question whether Putin intends to meet the relatives of the victims in the massacre in the concert hall where 143 people died. It is recalled that Putin said on Monday that the terrorist attack, the bloodiest on Russian soil for 20 years, produced “radical Islamists”, with Moscow however accusing Ukrainian and Western secret services of “simplifying it”. The Russian president was publicly voiced the day after the terrorist attack, which took place on Friday night. According to Peskov, Putin also did not go to the point of the attack so as not to “disturb the work” of rescue crews. “As far as the families and relatives of the victims are concerned, very close cooperation was organized with them by all relevant agencies and experts (…). This whole thing happened as soon as possible. This work continues,” Peskov noted. At the same time in question of information that dozens of people are still missing after the concert hall attack in Moscow, the Kremlin replied that this question would be better addressed to researchers. The Baza website on Telegram, accessible to security services, broadcast on Wednesday that 95 people are still missing after Friday’s attack.
