Logistics: The field that wins everything from the projects and developments is called to lead and to bring investment

Continues the Tribute of ypodomes.com for the developments in large projects, transport and privatisation…
The sector of logistics and general supply chain can be a vehicle for the exit of the country from crisis, after the development potential is enormous.
The completion of the basic infrastructure has begun and is expected to be completed in the next 2 years gives the industry strong development tools. In road transport until the end of 2017 we will have a very extensive network of motorways covering most of Mainland Greece and the comfortable connection with the neighbouring countries.
In rail transport by the end of 2018 it will have completed the main shaft from Athens to Idomeni, opening a very large opportunity in the movement of goods. It is no coincidence that the railway station now has to cope with two strong competitors, the Company (which is the Austrian Railway company ΟΒΒ) and the PEARL (where the control of the Chinese COSCO), while it is unknown if other international players will want to enter in the Greek Market.
In maritime transport we have changes but we have a stable traditional player, which is the Greek and not only shipping companies.
The room for growth that our country is very large considering the rapid development of the port of Piraeus, and the expected privatization of the port of Thessaloniki with the containers to be desired. Until 2014, the ports of the Mediterranean, managed by the 9% of the global transport of goods, a percentage that corresponds to the 48% of the european market and that today will be obviously bigger. Recall that in 2009, the Piraeus was dealing 660.000 containers with the number this this year, it is estimated that it will shoot up to $ 4 million.
The great goal of the country is obvious: the emergence of Greece in a competitive and high-quality transit hub TO Europe and full development of the Freight Transport System and Logistics. The gains are expected for large and global players have turned their gazes in the country, seeing the room for growth.
A big role in this play and the Freight Center in Thriassio Field, Attica, and the other programmed with the most important being those of Thessaloniki and Igoumenitsa.
The area of logistics, which essentially emerges from the transport development strategy of the country, it seems that will be the big winner in the next few years and the benefits for the real economy would see watching the geometric rise in transport. How we continue it has to do with the national policy on the issue which, according to recent statements by moving as follows:
-the supply chain should be developed and help at the same time supporting the development of other sectors of the economy
-launching initiatives to improve the organization of the Logistics and the cooperation of the responsible public authorities and the quality of the services provided, with the aim of reducing the cost per unit of product and, by extension, the strengthening of the competitiveness of the Greek economy
-drawing up proposals for the codification and simplification of legislation,
-drafting of opinions to the relevant Ministers
-the preparation of an Annual Plan with specific priorities, actions
-the formulation of proposals for further development and improvement of the existing transport infrastructure,
-the examination of incentives for investments in innovative and “green” actions in the Supply.
Also expected actions-interventions for the supply chain, which include actions such as: Strengthening actions for the certification of companies logistics based on international standards, development of combined transport, strengthening of the electronic information flow logistics between the parties involved in logistics, development of centres of AGROLOGISTICS, promotion of research and innovation in the Supply Chain, monitoring Logistics, and national support structure openness.
