Lasithi: They entered a house as street vendors and stole 1,000 euros

Or at home it was quickly solved and the couple of perpetrators were spotted and arrested by police officers… In the arrest of two persons, a man 56 years old and a woman 52 years old, they moved on Monday afternoon (11.03.2024) to the wider area of Ierapetra Lassithi in Crete, officers of A. The Long Glass and the Sitia Police Operations Scale. As it emerged, the two people yesterday at noon, under the pretext of the sale of goods foreplay and clothing, entered the house of an 80-year-old woman in an area of the Municipality of Sitia and with the method of employment, removed the sum of 1,000 euros from her house furniture. The man and woman were spotted going to an ICE car and were arrested by police officers, while in their possession was found the deducted money which was attributed to the 80-year-old. In addition, according to the police, the envisaged administrative fines for the exercise of a pattern of trade were imposed and the IXE was seized as a means of carrying out criminal activity. The preliminary hearing is conducted by the Sitia Police Department.
