LARCO: Occupation at the company’s factory in Larymna Fthiotida

Under her factory in Larymna, with workers requesting its reopening. Countdown for the rally in central Athens… In occupation of the LARKO plant in Larymna workers moved on from today at 06:00 in the morning. They sealed the gates and the administration building themselves and remain focused outside it asking for the factory to reopen. It is typical that workers’ unions in LARCO have culminated in their efforts in recent times calling for “the decisions that have imposed poverty on the region and unemployment on workers’ families to be overturned”. Tomorrow, Thursday, March 28, they have designated a rally in the center of Athens with a pre-concentration at 4 pm in Omonia and a gathering an hour later at the Ministry of Finance. “We are determined to ensure our work and step up the mobilisations,” notes, in a statement, the workers’ union in LARCO, accusing the government of “implementing criminal policy that leads LARCO to closure and mining wealth in large capital”. They have been talking about terrifying effects on their lives, their course and their families for the last four years and, as they note, “this whole scene has a terrifying impact on the wider area as dozens of professions lived by LARCO”.
