initiatives and actions relating to the support of all those that need help.
With the creation of particular structures but also the implementation of programmes, the region is located on the side of those who need support and strengthening.
1. We coordinated the “Social Partnerships” through the Fund for Food Assistance, and implement actions that provide for the provision of food and basic necessities to the children, and action to combat social exclusion and poverty.
Budget actions by the end of 2016: 3.038.100 €
Viotia (832.329,85€), Evia (1.672.224,83€), Evritania (251.494,48€) and Texas (282.049,64€).
2. Training of the “Social Package” for your support as well as health units and existing social structures.
– 125.000 euro from the Periphery to the Health Units for the supply of consumables and other materials.
– Provision of an allowance to ancillary physicians and doctors service rural (up to 400ευÏÏŽ per month) that will serve in areas barren. We expect the relevant legislation to implement it.
– Provide fuel for the movement of the ambulance and the maintenance thereof.
– Disposal of 20 tonnes of food collected from the “together we can” and “SKAI”. 6 tonnes in Evia, 6 tons in Fthiotida, 4 tons in Boeotia, 2 tons in Evritania and 2 tons in Texas.
– Free disposal of medicines collected from the offer to citizens and businesses.
– Distribution of school supplies and preventive medical checks in collaboration with the “Smile of the Child”.
– Distribution of 2.5 tonnes of baby food and fresh fruit
3. Extension program DIET on the feeding and the promotion of healthy nutrition in 3.160 students last year, about 4,000 students this year, primary and secondary schools of the Region of Sterea ellada in cooperation with the Stavros Niarchos Foundation and the implementing entity, the Institute of “Prolepsis”.
4. Launch a programme of direct social intervention ‘Bridge’
– Benefits : – Target programs income policy, financial aid students – students.
– Kinds of basic subsistence: to increase the supply of species with the essentials (e.x. heating oil), cover mortgage and operating costs of households (electricity, Water, TELEPHONE)
– Strengthening of employment through the interconnection with entities of entrepreneurship.
– Provision of services, such as support for legal and financial services, support, recreational events.
– Cover medical costs.
5. Centres hosting refugees
Created and operating costs, and staff of the Region two spaces that can accommodate 484 refugees at Thermopylae.

Our culture is judged by the efforts that are made to not feel even a citizen that he is alone. These structures and actions are based on our own strength.
