Katsafados: “holders of illegal and counterfeit qualifications are guilty of fraud and fall outside the jurisdiction of the criminal law”

Question for the legitimacy of 2,500 fake diplomas tabled by Mp SW A’ Piraeus and Islands Kostas Katsafados to the Ministers of Interior and…
Administrative Reconstruction, and of Education, Research and church affairs.
Mr. Katsafados stresses that the Ministry of Education is planning tests in summer in order to 2,500 civil servants with fake diplomas to gain a legitimate qualification, the time that more than a million people with degrees and masters degrees are unemployed.
As pointed out in the Mp, in this way, the government opens a loophole for holders of illegal and counterfeit qualifications, so they stay in place, with a process of tests that supposedly will certify their knowledge and which will be carried out by a committee of the public.
Mr. Katsafados stresses that “the State must give the example to young men and women who are fighting for a place in the university, as well as to those who are fighting for a job, and not to “welcomes” or obscure guilty of fraud causing inequalities.”
The question of mr. Kostas Κατσαφάδου is as follows:
“By the time thousands of Greek children of a high School senior struggling through exams, for a position at a public university, is surprised by the news that the Ministry of Education plans to conduct a review for the 2,500 holders of illegal and counterfeit diplomas from private training organisations.
In this way, the government opens a loophole for holders of illegal and fake diplomas, to ensure they stay in place, with a process of exams, that supposedly will certify their knowledge and which will be carried out by a committee of the public.
Because such a possibility is an unacceptable practice, as well as the possession of illegal and fake qualifications is guilty of fraud and fall outside the jurisdiction of the criminal law,
Because the state must give the example to young men and women who are fighting for a place in the university, as well as to those who are fighting for a job, and not to ‘welcomes’ or obscure guilty for fraud, causing inequalities,
Because the state has to fight directly the phenomena of corruption, as well as the cases of fake diplomas, that has been years in the public and not to the strengthening,
Asked mr Ministers:
1. It is indeed in their intentions to bring the relevant provision for the review of the holders of false qualifications? If yes, for what reason to do such a procedure and not the positions are filled from our waiting list for?
2. What they intend to do so, in order to deal with the issue of fake qualifications?
