Julie Andrews reveals about “The Princess Diaries”: It’s probably on the shelf.

Ready to close the chapter of “The Princess Diaries” though with some bitterness, as she revealed. In an interview with TODAY.com on the occasion of her new book she wrote along with her daughter, author and educator Emma Walton Hamilton (Emma Walton Hamilton) entitled “Dumpy at School”, when asked if there would be a third part of the film franchise the 88-year-old actress said: “It’s been a long time since the two Diaries ended and I’m not sure, but sometimes it’s better to leave a good thing alone. I don’t like it when people milk and milk a subject, you know, until it has nothing else to give.” It is noted that 23 years have passed since the first film came out in cinemas directed by Gary Marshall. The award-winning actress starred as Queen Clarisse Renaldi along with Anne Hathaway, who played her granddaughter, Mia Thermopolis, reports People. Andrews confirmed that in the past “there were discussions” about the project, but noted that they “did not prosper”. “I would be very happy if we made another movie. But I’m not waiting for her…I may be wrong, but I think she’s now on the shelf,” added Oscar-winning actress.
