Jerome: “we are Not afraid of Islam…”

The Archbishop, speaking of the years of economic crisis…

Also, the Archbishop, with emphasis underlined: “we are Not afraid of Islam. Those who misinterpret Islam, we reject it. Those who, having as a starting point for different interpretations of Islam, causing religious fanaticism and serve foreign goals. The well-known German θρησκειολόγος Rudolf Otto said 80 years ago: “When the religions start war, then, begins the end of civilization”. It is imperative, therefore, to peace, to prudence and to establish cooperation of all parties that today stand against. We have a duty to support the suffering people, to offer unconditional love and support in the world. We have, however, an obligation to keep clear of the red lines which will not jeopardise our identity, our tradition, the national and territorial our integrity, Orthodoxy, and the wrong approach our culture”. Then the Archbishop referred to the issues of core concern to the work of the Holy Synod of the Hierarchy of the Church of Greece, and of course the theme of the Πανορθοδόξου Session.
Lesson Of Religious
Another issue commented on the Archbishop of canterbury was the course of the negotiations for the course of religion in schools. Expressed the mood to be mandatory in the class, and it is expected with great interest the suggestion of the Bishop of Nafpaktos on this issue.
