The acquisition of top distinctions in the most reliable and distinguished design awards in the world, such as Hyundai in recent years, proves her design competitiveness worldwide. “We feel a huge honor to receive these distinctions from the iF Design Awards for these important vehicles and innovations,” said Mr. SangYup Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of Hyundai and Genesis Global Design. “This award acts as proof of the extraordinary dedication demonstrated by our team of designers, who put their passion and commitment to this project, along with our cooperating engineers at the Research & Development Center. It highlights the remarkable competitiveness of Hyundai’s design identity on the global market.” Among the winners, IONIQ 5 N represents a new category of high performance electric vehicles (EVs) focused on the driver through new technologies and high on-piste capabilities, marking the first step in Hyundai N.’s electric power strategy. IONIQ 5 N has been particularly distinguished as “primary”, “game-changer” and “reference point” for high performance electric vehicles. IONIQ 5 N also won the Top Gear “Car of the Year” award for 2024. Parallel to IONIQ 5 N, award won the fifth generation of Hyundai SANTA FE, the medium size SUV with top living space thanks to its longest wheelbase and the largest opening of the back door. The largest wheelbase also allows the new model to offer improved seats in the third row of seats. Since his debut 23 years ago, this iconic SUV has won the hearts of millions of customers around the world. The bold and strong identity of the brand new model is expected to create an unbeatable presence in the middle SUV market. The SANTA FE XRT Concept, which debuted along with the SANTA FE, is designed to meet the different needs of customers. The XRT Concept can handle difficult terrain with certainty and ease, offering flexible utility for varied lifestyles outdoors. While the SANTA FE Calligraphy version is adapted to the primemium urban lifestyle, the XRT Concept is designed to spark the ultimate spirit of adventure and focus on releasing the desires of those seeking the thrills that nature offers. The iF Design Awards awarded Hyundai Motor in many other categories, such as N Mode: Infotainment System for High-Performance (User Interface), HMGICS Safety Management Robot (Professional Concept), HMG Driving Experience Center and FIFA Museum presented by Hyundai (Interior Architecture). The company’s first heritage campaign, Hyundai Heritage: PONY Exhibition, and related initiatives were also honored in the Communication category. The iF Design Awards were founded in 1954 by iF International Forum Design GmbH in Hanover, one of the world’s leading independent design organizations. Each year about 10,800 projects from 72 states are considered for the awards, which honor and highlight winners in 81 categories in nine disciplines: Product, Communication, Packaging, Service Design, Architecture, Interior Architecture, User Experience (UX), User Interface (UI) and Professional Concepts. To conquer an iF Design Awards requires a strict selection process consisting of two stages, which is judged by famous special designers, suggesting the modern relevance and global impact of a design.
