Intra-German “battle” with Greece in the spotlight

Red flag warning for the possibility of a “mutilation” of the European Union, stating explicitly and Greece…
sounded the minister of Foreign affairs of Germany Ζίγκμαρ Gabriel speaking at the Munich conference – the same he had done just the day before yesterday in an interview with the Frankfurter Aλlgemeine Zeitung.
As writes the SUNDAY, citing the online version of Spiegel, the social democrat politician railed, without rotation, against Wolfgang Schaeuble, a colleague of the coalition government of Berlin, who brought to the discussion table the issue of the Grexit.
The Ζίγκμαρ Gabriel used the example of Greece to also exert criticism on the much discussed issue of defence expenditure of NATO countries. Greece is one of the few countries in NATO that spend 2% of their budget for defence spending, but at the same time to pay adequate pensions to the citizens. And this could lead to instability, and stressed the German Foreign minister.
