The plant-spider (p.p. during the “spider woman”!) devouring literally every bug found in the… path! A key feature of the Δροσέρας is the broad leaves, the surface of which is covered by ”glands” in the form of… tentacles, where “trapped” insects.
At the end of every gland there are “glittering drops” as dew (hence the name Villosa) containing an active sticky substance. As soon as an insect touches these points… it’s impossible to unstick! Then, the leaves of the Δροσέρας rolled up slowly, imprisoning the insect, which leads ultimately to the base of the plant for digestion!
