who opened fire and killed five people inside at the international airport Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood, Florida, on 6 January, he committed this attack in the name of the Islamic State, broadcast on the american television network CNN.
Santiago launched the attack in the name of the Islamic State, reported CNN citing the testimony of an FBI agent in the judicial process in which it would be judged if the young man will be remanded or not.
The 26-year-old is accused of five murders and if found guilty is in danger to be condemned even to death. The attack wounded 45 people.
Santiago had served in the u.s. army and had previously been hospitalized in a psychiatric clinic.
