In the aftermath of recrimination that preceded them among the members of the administration and of the Municipality of Volos as the efta surveillance authority took a public position asking indirectly but clearly to be new elections, yesterday it became known that the directorate of Health and social Welfare of the Regional Unit of Magnesia raises issues relating to the operation of the Foundation, after the report of the quitter treasurer.
In particular, in a document sent to the services of the Municipality of Volos, the Directorate of Health and Welfare indirectly, but clearly points out that they should not have been authorised, without consultation and without taking into account specific opinions that exist on the functioning of the Institution.
It is worth noting that for the intervention of the Health department of the E.E of Magnesia, the president of the Foundation Angelos Agrafiotis was updated yesterday afternoon, and together they were in Athens.
Asked by the TACHYDROMOS mr. Agrafiotis pointed out that the particular intervention constitutes a negative development for the Foundation, in the sense that it essentially called into question the operating licence that was issued just recently, with all that this implies for the future of the Orphanage. “Things are not so simple as you may believe those that led to the situation up here. The operating licence of the Orphanage was adopted after a great deal of effort and trouble and procedures for the first time. Is it not possible that some with the things that make you want to shut down the Institute,” stressed the president of the Foundation.
Also mr. Agrafiotis has made it known that next Monday is no longer the legal Foundation when they are informed about the entire report submitted by the Directorate of Hygiene in the services of the Municipality, will determine the framework that will move the Administration.
The POSTMAN contacted the quitter treasurer Kon. Crab, whom he named as the member who tabled the report of mr. Agrafiotis. Mr. Crab confirmed that the same about one and a half month sent a long letter to all the competent services, in which he recorded, as he said in the TACHYDROMOS various matters related to the operation of the Orphanage “in order to receive knowledge of the competent” – as he said – as it was impossible to work with mr. Agrafiotis.

In the last few days, moreover, the Foundation sent a document and by the Body of Inspectors of Health, following complaints made during the previous administration. The Inspectors ask for details about the staff, the rules of operation of the Foundation, the use of real estate etc.
