IMPRESSIVE! SO we charge our cell phones in a just a few seconds…

This stunning discovery -the product of the collaboration of british universities of Surrey and Bristol – promises to revolutionize the way we charge our mobile phones…
Researchers have developed a new material, which can be used for the construction of a battery that is 1,000 to 10,000 times stronger in relation to the current, safer, more environmentally friendly and will charge faster.
This material is a kind of polymer that is used for the creation of a new type of “υπερπυκνωτή”, which stores large amounts of energy and recharges very quickly.
“On the whole planet, investigations are conducted in the field of power storage technology and that the new superconductor has the ability to open the door to dramatic developments”, said dr. Brendan Χάουλιν of the University of Surrey.
The university seeks commercial partners for the creation of devices for energy storage ultra high density, and hopes to build a πρώτοτυπη device until next spring.
O founder of Tesla Motors Elon Musk had predicted in 2011 that the supercapacitors will be extremely useful in electric cars, since charging takes a couple of minutes, if not seconds.
In addition, the supercapacitors may prove to be more effective in using energy from braking, compared with the traditional batteries.
The only problem today is that while charge faster than traditional batteries, emptying and faster – in China a fleet of buses using supercapacitors, but they need frequent recharging every two or three stops.
With new technology polymer that was developed by two british universities these buses will need every 20-30 stops recharging, which still takes a few seconds.
According to dr. Ian-Does the department of Aerospace Engineering of the University of Bristol “the research opens most likely the way for supercapacitors with a very high density, but polymers have many other potential uses: in applications where need a durable, elastic conductive materials, such as in bionics, sensors, advanced optical etc. We believe that this is a development that potentially will bring the revolution.”
