How to understand if the insurance of your car is fake

In accordance with the EL.NES, and in the context of preventive action on the occasion of incidents that have been observed in the last period, relating to the issue of counterfeit… of life insurance policies I. X.E. car, with the victims of unsuspecting customers – “insured persons”, who consider that they possess genuine insurance policies, urges citizens:
to ask always proof of payment of premiums,
examine visually and with particular attention to the insurance contract, for any signs of tampering, in cases of doubt, to visit the website of the Hellenic Center of Information on the electronic link “https://www.hic.gr/hic/Check_ins.aspx” the access is free for anyone, without some kind of warranty, where they can check the validity of the contract, with the registration plate number of the vehicle and the VAT number of the owner of the vehicle, alternatively,
to communicate the same phone directly with their insurance companies and ask for verification of the validity of the contract,
be addressed to the police Authorities in cases of doubt, or a finding of non-validity of the insurance policy.
THE EL.NES points out, that is when fraudsters use a specific methodology, in order to deceive their prospective customers and to supply them with fake insurance policies of the vehicle.

In particular:
through the digitisation of a valid contract, is progressing in replacing the original elements with other (conversion number traffic, data, id, period of insurance etc.), print the edited contract and collect the money from the unsuspecting customer, without, in most cases, to deliver receipts of money, in cases of involvement of the vehicle in a traffic accident, try to prevent the police assistance and encourage their clients to move to a private settlement of the loss suffered.
Result of the offending activity is the unsuspecting citizens on the one hand, to lose out financially, on the other hand, are at risk of criminal and administrative penalties, related to the use of counterfeit insurance contract of the vehicle.
