According to research from the institute of Fifg, in case there are border controls only in the path of the western Balkans (and Italy), the German economy will be burdened with an amount of 1.4 to 3.4 billion annually.
This means that every German citizen will be charged with the amount of 17 to 41 per year.
In the second case, if the imposition of border controls within the Schengen area, the German economy will be burdened with the amount of 4.4 to 10.8 billion euros per year. Every German taxpayer will be burdened with an amount of 54 to 132 euros per year.
