How can I calculate right dimensions for my curtains?

“As soon as I get into my new house, and I’m at the stage where I’m having curtains. How will you calculate correctly their height?”…
The traditional approach to the height of a curtain is approximately 5 inches above the balcony door, up to 1.5 cm above the floor, or 1-2 inches below the finish of that sill, if you want to change the curtains on your windows. In the case of the doors, however, you can add 6-8 inches to the original measurement, if you like the curtains to fall gently to the floor.
With regard to the width of the curtain, you must first measure the width of the doors and then multiply the result by 1.5 or 3, depending on how “rich” you want to show the fabrics. As we said, this is the traditional method.
