The singer spoke about the raising of her son, the “school” George Marinos and the illusion of social media. “The song ‘So am I’ is part of our ongoing life. I’ve evolved since 2001 when it was written, I don’t get along with time. It defines dreams, desires, goals and love,” Hero originally said. About her son, Hero said: “My son was attacked by a gang of minors and I was really scared. He is very sensitive and emotional, so I have fear but I trust him. The attack he took made him very difficult. For a long time he never talked about it. Parents should be behind their children and watch what they do. If you leave your child and don’t care, you’ll understand it slowly when it’s become dangerous. I was always very close to my son, working during the hours he slept. I wanted to raise him. Sometimes I wonder if I’m the right mom. It is not easy in Greek society to have a child alone.” For her personal life, Hero said: “The most important stations of my life are when I left my maiden home to come to Athens and acquire my son. A child comes to get you out of the center of your ego and to take you to another center where your child is. I have felt many passions but few love in my life. Love and death are the catalysts of the universe. A very important man in my career was George Marinos, he was the largest school for me.” In closing, Hero said: “Today children start from the highest step that is recognition and end up in anonymity without being remembered. Social media gives people the illusion that they are important and existable. Chasing social media is not a solution to make a career, you have to have personality. It’s hard to be an artist if you think your ego is the center of the world.”
