“Hellas – France Alliance?”

Writes Professor George ΠιπερόπουλοςΠαρακολουθώ with a special interest, like many of our fellow human beings in European and other countries, the ongoing “French phenomenon” dynamic picketing against the proposed new “work programs” and conflicts with Police Forces and the public’s declared obsession with the French President, mr. Hollande, that this will be implemented irrespective of the cost!…
The International MEDIA pointed out that already appear the first problems in the French economy as there is a lack of fuel, large and small cities “down shutters” even before nightfall and starts to be suffused with a sense of intense social upheaval at the National level.
Of course, we here in our Country (where essentially we are facing a lot more problems with exorbitant unemployment rates, weakness and recession in the market, cuts to pensions and capital controls) does NOT seem to give any special significance to the current French phenomena of social unrest…
“Hellas-France Alliance” we used to, but the issue of unemployment does not apply!
The rate of youth unemployment of over 50% in Greece is half in France and the unemployment rate flirts constantly with 24-25% in Greece in France is flirting with 10-11%.

I remember the large and dynamic demonstrations of students in May 1968 in Paris, where leading role was played by the most widely known politician, Daniel Cohn Bendit (known then as “Daniel…red” which since 2002 is a Member of the European Parliament and shares the Presidency of the Party of the Greens/European Free Alliance.
I also remember that at that time the reins of the French Republic was held by General de gaulle, not mr. Hollande. The rest is now…History!
May of 2016 and I remember, like all of us I think, as I’ve been watching the arson, violence and clashes with the French MATT in Paris and other provincial French cities, Athens and other provincial cities that are “burned” in December 2008 (with a fuse of a social explosion the murder of teenager Alexis Γρηγορόπουλου) and Minister of Public Order, the current President of the Hellenic Republic mr. Pavlopoulos.
We, as I read that he said(and I wonder why?) and the Snake we have committed ourselves to the global warming sucks Eurogroup for only 99 years (a quarter i.e. from 400 years of Turkish rule), we have double the unemployment rates of France, we owe an arm and a leg, we don’T see neither growth nor investments, but remain in the παροιμιακούς now “sofas”…
I hope I’m not charged with maliciously that I am suggesting something “naughty” but with everything that’s happening in Greece and France I wonder apart from the fact that in both countries we have now, “left wing Governments”:
“Hellas-France Alliance” where?
