The Halkidiki Hotel Association contacted institutional filmmakers, such as the Association of Independent Audiovisual Producers (S.A.P.O.E.) and the Association of Film and Television (PA.K.T) and proposed to host members of the film community in hotels in Halkidiki.
The dialogue between members of the film community and representatives of local communities is an important step on the smooth cooperation of participants in film production.
The shooting film in a region contributes positively to attracting tourists and visitors, as many tourist areas developed after shooting films. The initiative of the Union Hotel Halkidiki is expected to have significant long term benefits to the film industry but for the projection of Halkidiki in Greece and abroad.
The Hellenic Film Commission has put the creation of appropriate conditions for audiovisual production facility in Greece as a key priority. The ultimate aim of the Hellenic Film Commission is the promotion of Greece as an ideal place for making films and audiovisual productions. The Hellenic Film Commission is trying to sensitize the local business communities and local authorities to facilitate rapprochement film productions from around the world.
